Date: Saturday, May 18
Time: 12:00-3:00 pm
Location: Metro Native Plant Center, 2661 SW Borland Rd., Tualatin
Leader: Jennifer Wilson (Metro)
Metro’s Native Plant Center is dedicated to propagating and supplying native plants that are used in restoring wetlands, oak woodlands, and other habitats in the Portland metro area. Native plants provide a vital source of food and shelter for fish and wildlife. At this open house, you’ll be able to visit our plant nursery and see dozens of native plant species in many stages of growth, and participate in hands-on experiences with native plants. You can learn how the native seeds and bulbs we collect are grown into plants that are used in restoration efforts, and find out how volunteers support our efforts. Registration for this event is optional, but encouraged, as it will help us anticipate attendance. Click here to register and to get more details about where to find us. For more information, contact Jennifer Wilson at Jennifer.Wilson@oregonmetro.gov; (503) 319-8292 – cell. We hope to see you there!
