Field Trip: Cooper Mountain Nature Park

Field Trip: Cooper Mountain Nature Park Hike

Date: Tuesday, April 25th

Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Location: Cooper Mountain Nature Park, 18892 SW Kemmer Rd., Beaverton, Oregon

Leader: Rick Shory, Melanie Nead, and Brenda Hamilton
Description: Join us to explore the abundance of native wildflowers at Cooper Mountain Nature Park. Rick Shory, one of our hike leaders, has worked throughout the West as a Forest Service botanist and will share wildflower insights during this outing. Our hike will bring us through prairies, forest, and oak woodlands, including nicely restored oak savannah habitat. If the sky is clear, between wildflower sightings we will enjoy expansive views of the Tualatin Valley and Chehalem Hills. Long sleeves and pants are strongly recommended for this hike, as there is extensive poison oak in this park. Please also note that pets aren’t allowed in the park. To sign up, contact Brenda Hamilton at or 510-205-5849.
